Hillary Clinton is described on her own site as not being a gambler but she has gambled. Her stand on campaign financing supports that claim since she has declined public campaign funding in favor of all the money she can raise. To be fair, raising all the money you can is typical in politics. The same can be said for Hillary. She’s a typical politician and that does not suggest she is Presidential material.

Bill Clinton “greasing the skids” for Hillary is not a good turn of phrase for someone running for President. At least if you are appealing to voters who remember his Presidency and your involvement in it. But Hillary invoked Bill’s help early on as noted in this Jan 28 visit to Iowa. “You know, Bill didn’t compete in the 1992 Iowa caucuses because Tom Harkin was running for president,” Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton told supporters during a house party in Cedar Rapids on Saturday night. “This is the only political experience I will ever have that he had never had.” Yes, Bill had plenty of “political experiences.”

Also on Hillary’s site it claims the country has been divided by an extreme sliver of the Republican party. It was unclear if this statement was attributed to Bill. When following “more” links to the story and ultimately ABC News, a “not found” error page was displayed. It really doesn’t matter which one said it. That was in October before the midterm elections. So the Dems, through Pelosi and others, claim the people had spoken in the midterms while the Clinton’s claim the country is divided. You can’t have it both ways. A divided country does not unite in three weeks.

A headline proclaiming “Iowans look to Hillary in 2008″ suggests everyone in Iowa is for Hillary. Well that was October. On Feb 22, 2007, Strategic Vision, LLC polled that Edwards led at 24% over Clinton and Obama both at 18%.

This is getting funny. a second content link for Hillary’s site is “not found”. That would be the source for the claim at how well her site is doing compared to others. Combined with a comparison to Howard Dean in 2004. Hillary, you might want to drop that reference. This claim of Hillary’s on Jan 2, 2007 is disputed by a comparison on alexa of her site compared to Edwards and Obama. You lose Hillary, a distant third out of three.

The rest of Hillary’s frontpage is distortion also. She claims to be courting the black vote while at the same time starts a brawl with Barack Obama. She expresses an intention to end US arrogance. Please Hillary, you and your political history are all about arrogance. Like bragging about spending $29 million on a campaign against a sacrificial lamb in your Senate re-election bid. Or your public support or indifference of Bill’s behavior which one can only conclude was in preparation for your ultimate political ambitions.

And your most arrogant display thus far came yesterday with a call for a “positive campaign.” The embarrassment of the Clinton Administration from 92 thru 2000 is only exceeded by your adherence to a lack of principle and a portion of the public and their misplaced adoration. But then Britney Spears and Paris Hilton have fans too.
