Gregory Meeks’ Message to Insurgents

The following excerpt is from what is basically an excerpt from Rep Gregory Meeks at the Hill.com and more than should be shown. Rep Meeks is not sending a loud message to President Bush but to the insurgents in Iraq. Rep Meeks rhetoric is just the kind of politically charged damage that is typical of a dead political party. If this is the Democratic idea of a new direction then it is plain for all to see the direction is self-serving and entirely irresponsible. You voice an opposition to the war like anyone not sharing your view likes war. No one likes war. The only thing worse than war is losing war. And that is exactly what you will get if you continue chanting the bankrupt policy of the New Democratic Party. The old one was bad too but it was better than this new one.

Rep Gregory MeeksNot A Congress That Just Gives The President What He Wants

February 19th, 2007

I think this is the first step in sending the president a loud message that this immoral war that we’re engaged in has to change direction, and that the escalation of the war is not the way to go.
