Stop Bill Gates
Since the beginning of Microsoft, Bill Gates has been under suspicion for unethical business practices. As depicted in the move ‘Pirates of Silicon Valley’, Gates acquisition of two core products, DOS and what became the Windows GUI, are still suspect. The monopolistic tendencies from licensing software to forcing customers to keep Internet Explorer on their systems are well documented. Even today he is still trying to circumvent directives of the EU.
So now the United States Congress, in their divine wisdom, parade Microsoft at a Senate committee hearing and worship at the altar of Bill Gates. The Senate Committee on Health, Energy, Labor and Pensions, nicknamed HELP, is intent on allowing Bill Gates to direct policy that will enhance his status as the richest person on the planet. The same man who brought you all the headaches of Microsoft Corporation and has been ripping off the public for over 30 years, is positioned to open up every border, approve every visa and reduce the American workforce to recipients of minimum wage.

Bill Gates wants unlimited visas and he wants them now. Typically these processes are set in motion by April 1 and he and all his corporate buddies are eager to abandon the workforce of their own nation. First they sent as many jobs offshore as they could and they will continue to couple that with unlimited visas and immigration if we let them. Good old Bill Gates, interjecting an historic anecdote about Albert Einstein to make his point on how wonderful immigration is. Too bad a guarantee doesn’t come with that claim. Or if it does, it would be no better than any other Microsoft guarantee, warranty or license.

Microsoft takes every opportunity to display themselves as the concerned corporate citizen, even when at the same time they are ignoring government mandates and the dictates of good corporate governance.

But a spokesman for a group of Microsoft’s rivals — the European Committee for Interoperable Systems — said the move was window-dressing because it would do nothing to restore competition in the market for work group servers.
“Nobody in their right mind would take one of these licenses,” said ECIS’ Thomas Vinje. “It’s window-dressing arranged by Microsoft to cover up its refusal to comply with the Commission decision.”
“Quest is not a competitor of Microsoft. It is a partner of Microsoft’s,” he said.
Typical with most so-called Microsoft innovations they are either produced by or abducted from some other source and even though MS has a research department of 700, it is unlikely any original ideas start there. Yet MS has no reluctance to warn the public against competitors like Google. When all they really fear is losing part of the present or future kingdom. In addition to that, King Bill starts a foundation to appear as the altruistic guru of software. It is hard to see Bill Gates for what he is if you just received financial awards from him or his foundation.

With all the controversy between parents, kids, teachers and vendors on the questionable domination of children’s time involved with gaming, MS starts a campaign to convince the public that games are your friend and will make you smarter. Please let your elected representatives in Washington know you do not want Bill Gates setting policy in government. Maybe you need to remind them of all the trouble Bill has caused already.
