Flawed New Proposal on Immigration
Congress is considering a new immigration proposal that lets all illegals here before June 2006 remain with a 6 year visa. If they have been here since before last summer, what makes you think they need or want a visa? Only some of the illegals will be required to return home and start over. The open borders crowd, including most of Congress and the Whitehouse claim you can’t deport 12 to 15 million illegals. If that is true, how are you going to find the ones you propose leave and return legally? You can’t have it both ways. You cannot claim deportation is unworkable to argue against immigration enforcement and then claim you will deport some of the 15 million under a new proposal.
The correct strategy is to jail employers who hire illegals and sell their assets to pay for deportation. Anyone who is in favor of open borders should be required to prove their beliefs as genuine by leaving all their doors unlocked twenty-four hours per day, every day. House, car, office, workplace and any other lock should always be unlocked if you really believe open borders are good. Greed is the only thing driving the open borders crowd. If there is money to be made, they want to keep it that way. Politicians, businesses, illegals and bleeding hearts all in it for greed.
Mexico will never ‘clean up its act’ if you continue the insane call for open borders and anybody, anytime immigration. As long as Mexico and the home countries of all other illegal immigrants and visa violators have no incentive to improve the lives of their citizens, immigration will be a problem. A managed and reasonable flow of immigration can begin once you stop the madness. Why is there never enough time to do things right the first time but there is always enough time to do it over and over and over again? Do this right now and save us all the pain and suffering of your learning this lesson the hard way.

House Lawmakers Look to Overhaul Immigration Law (Update1)
By Jay Newton-Small
March 22 (Bloomberg) — House lawmakers, seeking to jump- start immigration overhaul after Senate talks stalled, proposed a measure to create a guest-worker program, offer illegal migrants a path to citizenship and tighten border security.
The legislation’s Democratic and Republican backers aim to pass the measure before the scheduled congressional August recess. Democratic leaders have identified immigration law as an area where they may agree with President George W. Bush. Last year, the Republican-controlled House thwarted Bush’s drive to revamp immigration as members of his own party decried what they said was an amnesty program for illegal aliens.
