Let Us Begin Now or Fail
From time to time a compelling source of information emerges from
the quiet assembly of its message. Another entry to the field of must
read is out there. Choose not to heed it’s warning at your own peril.
Was that an overstatement? Perhaps. Historically as a country we
have been placed in dangerous circumstances by our unwillingness
to judge warnings effectively. Our preoccupation with other things
or stubborn attachment to favored opinions may once again lead us
into harm’s way. Quite often critics of some proposal or situation
use phrases condemning action or inaction, as the case may be, as a
willful postponement of consequences upon our children. This would
be such a case.
We highly recommend reading a report from the National Intelligence
Council, “Mapping the Global Future“. To us, it merely confirms a
common concern that America has been and continues to fall behind
on many fronts. Will we simply ignore another notice or call to action
or can we muster the courage of those who came before us to meet the
challenge?
