GOP Leadership Confused on Amnesty
Mel Martinez is the ‘hand-picked’ choice of President Bush for GOP party leader. Let’s see, President Bush, for reasons unknown but suspected, favors amnesty for illegal aliens as does Kyl, Kennedy, McCain, Graham and others who fashioned the last failed attempt at amnesty in Congress. And Martinez helped author the bill. Is it any wonder why he is critical of Romney and Giuliani for opposing amnesty?
It appears that McCain’s change on illegal immigration reported weeks ago was not really a change. Maybe some small details but in reports this week, McCain has received death threats for his stand on illegal immigration. The point is there are still members of the GOP who are in favor of amnesty. While the pundits claim the illegal immigration issue is dead until after 2008, don’t think for a minute that those favoring amnesty have simply dropped the subject. While we sleep (on the issue) the crazed amnesty supporters are still active. It would be wise to inform your representatives from time to time that you oppose illegal immigration, amnesty, lax visa enforcement as well as porous borders and inadequate port security, etc.
Martinez is urging members of the Chamber of Commerce to hammer GOP candidates on amnesty during the debate Nov 28th in Florida. Go figure, the US Chamber of Commerce representing employers who hire illegals is urged to support amnesty. This type of connection between the GOP and business is what causes trouble. Pro-business is one thing and in many cases a good thing. But ignoring the rule of law for profit just makes you another criminal. Members of the GOP like Martinez should understand that and discontinue their co-conspirator ways. The US is not responsible for solving problems of every person on the planet especially by ignoring laws designed to protect this nation. It is time the amnesty bunch in the GOP get schooled on this topic. Let them know what you think.

So the leader of the Republican Party is suggesting that constituents hammer the two leading Republican Presidential Candidates on the immigration issue…Mel Martinez is truly crazy. Even Howard Dean isn’t stupid enough to suggest that his party attack their own candidates.
Martinez thinks that because he’s an immigrant, we should open our borders to the third world. Look at the wonderful changes that have taken place in Los Angeles and Miami. 2010 can’t get here soon enough for me. I’m looking forward to Martinez getting thrown out of the Senate. He’ll probably become Chairman of LaRaza
