Domestic counterterrorism efforts (UPDATED) I’ve had a busy day but wanted to link up to a couple of stories that are big time news in the blogosphere today.
First up, the New York Times has a story up today about an Internet jihadi based right here in Charlotte, North Carolina. Interestingly enough, Rusty and the crew over at the Jawa Report have been investigating this terrorist for over a year, and notes that by going forward with this report, that the NYT has compromised a very serious investigation.

Fort Lauderdale waiter foils carjacking … then gets fired :
As the lunch rush started Monday, waiter Juan Canales stopped a carjacker from taking a woman’s Honda CRV out of the parking lot where he worked.
Hours later he lost his job.

Hillary Clinton strikes a hawkish note on Iran
By Hill Truth | Hillary Clinton accused Iran of trying to build an atomic bomb and said that as US president she would not rule out a military strike to end Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
Mrs Clinton said that Iran must not be allowed to build or acquire nuclear weapons. If Tehran did not bow to the demands of the international community, she said, “all options must remain on the table”, the precise words used by President Bush when asked about the possibility of military action.
