Hillary, it’s the lying not the planted questions

HRC
Not long after Hillary Rodham Clinton came unraveled at a Democratic party debate where her competitors pounced on every mistake, she plays bigshot at an Iowa restaurant where tipping etiquette was in question and now lying about questions planted in the audience. But Hillary Rodham Clinton needs a script to appear prepared for the office which she seeks. The gaffes are beginning to pile up which may bring the American public to their senses about this candidate.

If you feel it is unfair to call it lying about the planted questions, read on. Several reports and the timelines they suggest have her denying and claiming no knowledge of the facts. Of course, if it is necessary, a campaign prefers a staffer to fall on the sword to save the candidate. But then many people continue to support the Clinton clan even when the evidence of suggests rejection. The same people who call for impeachment of President Bush or VP Cheney have no problem looking past the history of Bill and Hillary.

In a piece in the LA Times, Clinton is reported to have admitted planting questions at a ‘town hall’ event in Iowa. That report is dated November 11. Of course the action is blamed on a staffer. Even if that is true, would Hillary operate an administration where her staff takes action without her knowledge?

Clinton admits planting questions in public forum
There’s a good reason for that, too. The question was a plant, totally rigged in advance, like a late-night infomercial. Just before the public forum a Clinton staffer had chosen the young woman, a student at Grinnell College, and asked her to ask that specific question.

So that was from the LA Times and the posting indicates November 11 as mentioned above. Then two reports from November 10th add something to the conversation. The first of the two reports indicate this is not the first time Clinton has planted questions. If you are going to lie or do something else dishonest, it may not be the best choice to ask a minister who doesn’t even support your candidacy to be a co-conspirator. And the second report from Nov 10 has Clinton denying the planted questions.

Second Clinton plant
Mitchell, a 32-year-old minister, said he was not and had never been a Clinton supporter and stressed that he had moved to Illinois since the April 2nd event and, so, could not participate in the caucuses. He said being asked to ask a certain question was not the way things were supposed to go.

Nov 10
SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton responded to allegations Sunday that her presidential campaign had planted questions during public appearances.

At a media event in Waterloo, Iowa, Clinton responded to a reporter’s question about two separate incidents, one that occurred this week at a biodiesel plant in Newton, and the other in April on a farm outside Fort Madison, both in Iowa.

“Well it was news to me” Clinton said. “And neither I nor my campaign approve of that. And it will certainly not be tolerated.”

So Hillary, if neither you or your campaign approve of that, why did it happen? Would it be more likely that you are trying to cover your tracks? You’ve been lying so long you probably have forgotten how to tell the truth without assistance. No different from the sham excuse used for the tip incident in Iowa. Who in their right mind would believe that a $157 tip was properly submitted if a local Clinton staffer went to the restaurant after the fact and gave each waitress a $20 tip? The scenario is described in an earlier post here. And these posts are offered because little about Hillary Rodham Clinton makes any sense if you take it at face value. And with her excuses and explanations only coming after it is obvious the lies aren’t working, there is little about this campaign that resembles honesty.

For a final touch on this story, an excerpt from our friends across the big pond sums things up spot on.

In Iowa, gaffes put Hillary Clinton on defensive
Although planting questions is not unheard of in America, Britain and elsewhere, it goes against tradition in states such as Iowa and New Hampshire where voters expect to meet candidates, ask what they like and reach an informed decision on which of them should be nominated to run for president.

The disclosure will reinforce the view of Mrs Clinton’s critics that she is a control freak unable to tolerate the slightest deviation from the “message”, a complaint that dates back to her husband Bill’s presidency.

She has already been criticized for holding just two press conferences in the 10-month primary campaign, while she recently got into an argument with a hostile voter in Iowa, claiming he was a plant from a rival camp.

For those who need to take notes because they can’t keep up, here is a brief review. Dishwasher donors feeding large sums of money to the Clinton campaign. Norman Hsu, convicted felon, bundling millions for Clinton’s campaign and to this day no one is really sure what she did with the money. Locking up documents from her First Lady years until after the 2008 elections. Her husband with in an eyelash of being impeached. Chinagate, Travelgate, Willie Tan, philandering husband dishonoring the White House and quite likely mistakes leading up to 9/11 with the first WTC terrorism, etc. Kindly keep this in mind when you head to the polls.

Guess what? Hillary Clinton is the only candidate that has these 4 attributes (there are more but I forget): integrity, honor, patriotism, and compassion. I double dog dare you to find another candidate with these attributes. I got $35 in the bank that says you won’t be able to find one.
