Amnesty: Romney Says No, McCain Says Yes
It is as simple as John McCain favors amnesty and Mitt Romney opposes it. McCain first offered a ‘no start’ campaign followed by a ‘no campaign’ restart, followed by falling support and a desperate attempt to save a failing campaign by attacking his competitors.

Romney, in contrast to McCain, has steadily gained momentum as shown in the polls, successfully competed in debates and has won approval from unlikely sources as well as conservative groups. His position against amnesty is a strong reason to support him for President.
