Just started reading it and hate to put it down. Absolutely outstanding. I wondered why the term statists was being applied to liberals. It makes sense when you read it and clarifies that what was once liberal is not what liberals are today. And that is just the beginning. In just the first few chapters, Levin's book describes what you are talking about Maggie. It is exceptional reading. For everyone, I highly recommend it. I've heard it and noticed it. It is maddening, but I think it is part of the plan to "disarm," and "dissuade." He always has a quote to go back to when he needs it. The destruction of the economy is the first critical step in dismanteling our Democracy. He must do that first. Nothing else can fall into line until our economy is severely weakened.
