					<description>In brief, the 1986 immigration reform was essentially no better than the amnesty being fought over now.  The legislature is limited in what they can do to pressure the executive branch to enforce laws.  Passing more laws does nothing to ensure enforcement.
I suggested to my Senators in my last email (this a.m.) that they should tie the power of the purse to immigration legislation.  No enforcement equals no money.
I'm certainly no expert but that is my best shot to answer your question with limited time today. That would be a great inquiry to send to your Senators or Congressman.</description>

					<description>Will someone REALLY address the reason why the l986 border security and employee verification requirements have not been enforced??  It would appear that by enforcing the present laws, we could go forward AFTER the border is secured addressing the 12 million illegals already here.</description>
