Some Guatemalans Loaf in U.S. Cash Flow

Deport IllegalsAnother one of those perfect stories which only strengthens the position that amnesty is ridiculous. If not solely due to a need to enforce the rule of law, the money game that is immigration scoffs at the hypocrisy of altruism in the melting pot. Perhaps the 200 per month refused by young Guatemalans would be seen differently when compared to the cost of living in the country where it is offered. Again, the question of what is Mexico or Guatemala or other countries doing to solve their own problems and reduce the flow of traffic to the US? The answer is most likely their governments are no more responsive than ours to the will of the citizens.

The US may some day be just like the countries from which the illegals now flow. That’s right. Continuing to allow the bleeding hearts and paid for politicians to allow some to get rich at the expense of everyone else will damage this nation. We again urge the public to flood Congressional and White House offices with phone calls and email or snail mail until they understand what is needed. 2 out of 3 Americans want illegals deported. Secure the borders and severely punish employers and this problem will fix itself.

Some Guatemalans Loaf in U.S. Cash Flow

By JUAN CARLOS LLORCA

SALCAJA, Guatemala - Working and going to school have become optional in this highland Guatemalan town, thanks to a flood of U.S. dollars sent home by migrants living in the United States.

The family-run mills that produce brightly colored, hand-woven traditional fabrics have fallen quiet as their potential work force _ mostly young men _ hang out at the town’s pool halls or video game salons, living off remittances and waiting to make their own journeys north.

And then consider the do-nothing Democrats

Ya, that's workin'
Every now and then it is nice to see someone else draw the same conclusion. The item below does a nice job of presenting the problems caused by the Democratic party after their midterm launch to majority status. Certainly the GOP had failed us in many ways and appeared unable or unwilling to make corrections. With the Dems agenda stalled or failing and that same stubborness to continue as before, 2008 may bring a swift end to any hopes they had for a long run as the majority. The country suffers from these political failures while politicians can continue or become lobbyists and cause more problems.

And then consider the do-nothing Democrats

Americans are giving the Democratic-run Congress failing grades after five months of bickering and stalemate that has stalled or killed their chief legislative priorities.
The Democrats’ latest report card came in a recent Gallup Poll that showed their job-approval ratings had sunk to 29%, several points below even President Bush’s low job-approval numbers, which Gallup said were “holding steady” at 33% since April.
Democratic strategists and independent pollsters say their party will pay a political price in next year’s elections if they cannot show the American people they can do the nation’s business. But as Democrats near the midway point in this first session of Congress, the prospects that anything on their must-pass list of domestic legislation will be enacted appear bleak.

Richardson Makes His Bid Official, in Spanish

Bill RichardsonWith the vast and rising opposition to the lax security stance of liberals on illegal immigration, Bill Richardson, in not so subtle fashion, advertised his support for amnesty. Under other circumstances, like a universal acceptance of the need for immigration control and the absence of millions of illegals from south of the border, this may have been viewed as a simple celebration of cultural heritage. But the reality is that Richardson will not support the rule of law. And he will rub your nose in it if given the chance.

With ties to the Clinton Administration as ambassador to the UN and Secretary of Energy, it is just another way to give Bill Clinton access to the White House. It is also mentioned he worked as a trade consultant. Coupled with other parts of his resume it only serves to indicate he should not be in the White House. A President’s first obligation is to do what is best for the United States, not find ways to weaken it with questionable policies.
