I don't get many of the University Update tbs, but I always treat them as spam. ;-)

I wouldn't have quite as much problem with the public displays of islam if there wasn't such a backlash (albeit mostly media created) against any Christian display.

BTW, I emailed you (email reply to one of your comments at my place).

And here i thought this lonely single comment was another trackback from University Update. :-o

DL, I'm glad you commented on one of the news items. They are posted for comment without any opinion from me. I like to see what people think about the news less my own two cents.

Now that you broke the ice, my personal opinion is in a land that features freedom of religion the exposure to faiths that one does not practice should be enlightening and beneficial for many reasons. Then I thought it was too bad things are the way they seem to be and the beneficial part will not likely happen as regards Islam or the Muslim faith. Then I recalled all the crap Romney has to deal with for being Mormon. Then I remembered while growing up, it was popular for many to convert to Islam in the sixties and seventies. One of my favorite athletes, Muhammad Ali , did the faith and name change thing. As a kid I got the impression it was a fad and a made up religion. But some people sure do appear to be appeasing everyone and everything while they cringe from fear. Religions have had that effect at times through out history. Seems like organized religion is more political than it should be.
Well, this comment was way too long and wandering.
Later
Thanks for stoppin'

Those who either fear Islam or do not understand its basic tenants capitulate/surrender/submit. I think I will celebrate the end of ramadan with some bacon. ;-)
