Anncr: John McCain reacts to Mitt Romney’s negative attacks
JSM: You know, I find it ironic Mitt Romney would attack me on the issue of immigration.
This is the same Mitt Romney who called my plan, quote, “Reasonable”.
And on this issue I’ve learned that we’ve got to restore government and secure our borders.
JSM: I’m John McCain and I approve this message
Visiting YouTube to access a 30 second video seems a waste of time since Senator John McCain was nice enough to provide a press release of what is on it. Focus your attention on the second to the last sentence that starts with ‘And on this issue I’ve learned’…..
That’s right Senator. But saying you’ve learned is a bit misleading to those who may not have witnessed the amnesty battle in Congress last year. You joined with President Bush, Senators Kennedy, Kyl and others to support instant amnesty with blue cards to supplement the green. It would have allowed illegals to remain here legally, like forever.

The only question I have was were you looking for the political sham and cover of bipartisan politics to excuse abandoning the rule of law? It would have been honest to say you supported amnesty. Voters could have been mad as hell at you but you may have retained their respect. I still respect the good that you have done in serving the country. Voters may not respect you for the ad that is essentially a lie of omission.
