Sure, some of them are harsh enough from time to time to strain a listener's comfort zone but so be it. The vast majority of 'talk' provides a major source of news and opinion like no other. Hail, Talk Radio. Down with socialism. :-) Seriously, the conservative message must be maintained even when RINOs are born. Okay, especially when RINOs are born. Also, Hannity, Levin, Beck, Boortz, Malkin, Colter, Savage and many others are needed and appreciated. Sure, some of them are harsh enough from time to time to strain a listener’s comfort zone but so be it. The vast majority of ‘talk’ provides a major source of news and opinion like no other.

In 1988 the movie talk radio was released. It has nothing to do with this but that is when Limbaugh went on the air. I had similar thoughts about his show back then. Listening to Limbaugh is an acquired taste. I still don't need what you call the obnoxious part but that is part of his schtick. And it is sometimes rather humorous and I believe it is intended. Like him saying 'talent on loan from God' speaking 'with half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair.' It's humor. Working in my office much of the day I listen to Limbaugh and Hannity. It started for the same reason someone I know started listening when I asked wy they did. It's what's on. Now I listen any time I'm in the office and it is that time of day. Good things are discussed there. I encourage tuning in. And just like any other program some shows are better than others. But it is a must listen if you are conservative. Even liberals listen. I figure most people who say they don't like him in the polls feel the same as I do that he is obnoxious, but I am sure most agree with him on most issues also.
