So you think Zogby's polls are not correct. I should only use polls at Real Clear Politics. And I should worry about my reputation and only publish 'the truth' rather than offering references and observations and opinions for discussion and let readers decide what they believe to be true.

I think it is true that Zogby published poll results that Jan does not agree are true. I also think Jan supports Clinton and anything that does not support Clinton bothers Jan. Is that true and can I publish that to save my reputation?

I have repeatedly disclosed my support for Mitt Romney, my dislike of the Clintons and the posts here, whatever the topic, are intended to promote discussion. They are intentionally designed to provoke a response to initiate discussion.

Here is a truth test for you, Jan. Did Lee Harvey Oswald act alone? Did anyone actually land on the moon? Was the US civil war about slavery? Was at least one of FDR's aides a communist spy? Were the Rosenberg's guilty?

re: "It would be more convincing if you cited the polls you mention, specifically, and further demonstrated how they are ‘more reputable’."

As far as which poll is more reputable, I don't really have the space to teach you what to look for. How the data is taken in reveals alot, as well as whether those being polled are registered voters are not.

But... some polls are like professional Las Vegas oddsmakers, and then some are kinda like your next-door neighbor's opinion.
You've used "your next door neighbor's opinion."

If you want to quote head-to-head polls accurately , follow these instructions, for more thorough and accurate information:
Go to RealClearPolls
Click on "polls" at the top
Click on "head-to-heads"
See if you can find any poll where Clinton is losing to any of the Republican candidates.

I am hoping, as a writer, that you are concerned about your own reputation, and whether you are trying to spread Truth, or otherwise.

Well Jan, at least you kept it brief this time. It would be more convincing if you cited the polls you mention, specifically, and further demonstrated how they are 'more reputable'. You may have discovered I was not 'wishing' anything if you read the other comments. Troy and I both commented on the usefulness of polls.

Thanks for the concern about my reputation. Thanks for stoppin' and taking the time to share your opinion.

When you only cite one poll to make your poll, and all the other polls (most more reputable) indicate the opposite of the point you are trying to make, you lose your credibility.

Unfortunately for your reputation, WISHING Hillary wasn't beating every Republican candidate in the head-to-head polls doesn't make it true.

Troy:
I don't rely on polls but offer examples of them for exactly this... discussion. The value of polls like many things is of limited usefulness. The contrast in results between different pollsters is what I find most interesting and sometimes bothersome. The degree to which they vary or the noticeable changes over just a matter of days does not inspire confidence in the results.

Thanks for stoppin' and taking the time to share your opinion.

Benjamin,

Don't rely on your polls. The Republican and even the eventual Democratic nominee has not been introduced to the American people through a convention and campaign replete with ads and debates. I am a Democrat, but keep getting frustrated at these people who say support HRC, she does the best in the head to head polls. Those polls are meaningless at this point in time. Most of the American public is unlike the fired up political zealots who are following this race right now & haven't even paid attention to it yet. HRC is really winning those polls on name recognition. I am not saying she can't win a general election, but I am saying those polls you cite don't mean sqwat!

Benjamin:
Read more carefully. Tell Alternet or Zogby to get their facts straight. That is the source if you had bothered to read the post.

You must read a different Real Clear Politics than I do. I have her winning
most of the head to heads. Your article is simply misleading. It's O.K. to be partisan or even a Clinton hater, but get your facts straight!
