The current Democratic majority was established by election results in November 2006. White newly elected members were not immediately and officially sworn in, don't think the opportunity was not there to begin work as a majority. Selecting leadership, committee membership, etc., are things that began right away. It has an effect on how the next session operates.

You again use a form of the word 'hypocritical'. I may understand your opinion or meaning but perhaps hypocritically is not the best choice of adverb. If you want it to be more detailed this may help. The Democratic majority for the 110th Congress was determined in the general election in Novmber 2006. The first session of the 110th Congress convened in January 2007.

You could have at least noticed that this post expresses displeasure with both major parties.

Let me see if I have this right:
The GOP could have passed any legislation it wanted to between 2000 and 2006.
The GOP lost the 2006 elections because they were corrupt.
This is basically Democratic Reform Bill #1 on their "Six for 'o6" agenda.

And the GOP thinks they have a winning hand by blocking it because (quote) "it doesn't go far enough"????
Wow.

Seriously, I can't wait for Nov. 2008, if this is what the GOP thinks is a good political ploy.

And, btw, the Democrats have only been in control of Congress since January, not since November as you hypocritically report.
