I would contend that Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, et al, are consumed with the notion that George Bush has circumvented the Constitution that they are unwilling to cede any "tools" to the President. Notably, they are UNWILLING to support any legislation that would update FISA to reflect current technology. If I am correct, FISA was crafted in the 1970's with no regard for future technologies (i.e. cell phones, IM's, emails, etc.)...thus the President's desire to proffer electronic surveillance via the NSA... --Todd http://rightisright.squarespace.com Excellent analysis.
