Open Trackback Review
This edition of Open Trackback Review begins at Adam’s Web and the Truth and Hope Report. This one is on ‘The War for Language’. There is a podcast, but I am embarrassed to report would not load for me. Must be time to get some new hardware, software or whatever. But the topics were described as, in my words, liberal semantics, voting right of DC and Detroit taking a slide, just to name a few. Maybe someone can listen to the podcast and let us know how it was. I was hoping there was an mp3 floating around but I didn’t see one.
The shortage of good science fiction/fantasy titles must have given Conservative Cat a hairball. There is nothing funny about this post from the place I usually go for a little comic relief. But that’s okay. We can’t be laughing all the time cuz there are a lot of serious things which need attending. If we laughed all the time we would lose our dignity. Which is a hint as to what C Cat has on for this post.
Certainly thought provoking and a read like a good book you don’t want to put down is what is available from this day’s trackback at Faultline USA. From the PLO and Arafat with more about Palestine and Israel to WMD and Saddam that is a departure from most things you from most things you hear about it. Personally I can’t make up my mind on the topics TXWise presented. So it was especially helpful for people like me who need MO to someday draw a conclusion.
And I was beginning to think The Florida Masochist only picked on Florida related target for the Knucklehead of the Day Award. There are many from Florida but this particular one is about the last wilderness. Well at least until the oil guys suck the place dry and spill in in the ocean or charge too much for it. Stop me or I’ll forget to tell you that the KotD is big state revenue boss from Alaska. You’ll be amazed what happened on his watch. Think of billions of dollars and ……. I can’t tell you anymore, go read this one, really.
Conservative Thoughts will take you on a trip around the pork barrel. We all need something to write our Congressman about so if you’re behind on harassing your overpaid useless representative you can always borrow this account of spending by billions on unrelated budget items otherwise known as pork. It is unfair that pigs get stuck with people misusing their name for bad things, but the budget will treasure will be bleeding like a stuck pig if you don’t check these out and complain to your nearest lobbyist dirty money recipient.
Aye, aye Mates, if you’re looking for some additional good news from Iraq, this day’s trackback from the Pirate’s Cove is serving up a healthy serving of good news in short supply from other sources like the MSM. Iraqi forces, their successes, alliances and all around better than before jobs are all heading in the right direction. Check this out.
Perri Nelson’s Website offers a stern reminder about the media mistakes and other remarks and details about Somalia as the violence there is not going anywhere anytime soon. Do you remember Black Hawk Down and the regular activities of an organization known as the New York Times. They all get the spotlight on Perri’s offering for this day’s trackbacks.
If anyone has ever hinted to you that your organizational skills leave room for improvement, then you are familiar with the widespread taboo or stigma attached to people who are politely described as messy. I’m sure you can remember the chastiser’s favorite jab, cleanliness is next to Godliness. third world county has a trackback today on just that sort of subject. Don’t know if you can call it science but the offering features a study that will make all you messy, okay, slobs feel better.
stikNstein is trying to confuse me with a justice department, border story, basketball analogy combination. Okay, I was doing fine until the basketball pic. No, not a basketball pick, but a pic. From the serious side it also involves Ramos and Compean and Gilmer Hernandez. I’m getting a little concerned about the Justice Department and if you are too you should read this as well as another take on the border agent saga in general.
Is global warming a fantasy? Is Al Gore a fantasy? Parts of this debate or argument or whatever it is has me divided on the issue. Don’t go throwin’ stuff at me, I’m just sayin’. Things get a bit weird inside these issues. But whether you are opposed or in support of either side of the environmental planet pooper scooper go ahead and ignore it free for all, then you should be concerned about Al Gore’s Planet Fever at The Amboy Times.
Woman Honor Thyself features a Kvetch of the Day on jokes, bad jokes and the religious response from Muslim community. There is just simply no gettin’ around the fact we have been invaded by ET’s or something. Maybe the life from another planet is already here or the body snatchers has come true. But whatever the cause check out Angel’s post on how out of hand the ‘you breathe so you offend me’ Muslim take in Florida.
And that’s a wrap on this edition of Open Trackback Review.
