President Bush: The King’s English

Bush on BordersPresident Bush is sometimes difficult to understand. His choice of words and phrases are occasionally misunderstood. He has a unique way of pronouncing words like nuclear. And from time to time he uses words which mean something entirely different to you and I. An example would be the word bipartisan which he has replaced with the the words ‘both parties’. He also has problems with the word amnesty and determining who are American citizens and who are not. That causes problems for him in discharging his duties as President.

an excerpt from Mr President’s prepared remarks on the ’south lawn’:
I congratulate members of the Senate, both political parties, who decided it was time to work together to come up with a comprehensive immigration bill that addresses a major problem facing our country. After weeks of long work, these negotiations came to a successful conclusion.

translation:
We hatched this plan along time ago and had all the docs ready to go after we put on the act that there was a stalemate. The House did a great job faking they were serious about immigration when they passed HR 4437. The public was silly enough to buy it thinking the Senate would ever pass such a plan. Specter did a great job acting like he gave a damn. Too bad they don’t know the major problem facing this country is all the business interests who want the cheap labor and, heck, you know, we had to give it to ‘em. Look at all the money they pay us. It’s not like the Bush family made enough money on Saudi oil.

more from the south lawn:
Immigration is a tough issue for a lot of Americans. The agreement reached today is one that will help enforce our borders, but equally importantly, it will treat people with respect. This is a bill where people who live here in our country will be treated without amnesty, but without animosity.

translation:
You people bitch a lot but don’t do much about anything. Now we won’t be bothered with enforcement again. Like we ever intended to use enforcement. You people are kinda slow. We haven’t enforced immigration laws in over 30 years. Yup, we’re gonna treat those illegals with respect. This is a bill for anyone living here in this country except American citizens. Who needs amnesty? After we slide this bill past ya, being illegal won’t be illegal. It’s that simple and you won’t do anything about it. The House, the Senate and I have our butts covered and our friends are happy. We would like to thank the American people for rolling over. But now, can ya fetch?

frustrationThe Blog @ MoreWhat.com would like to thank the President for not acting like he could care less what anyone else thinks. By God, he wants amnesty a guest worker program or amnesty a path to citizenship or amnesty a Z card or amnesty a green card or amnesty. In ten years there will be no border at all.
