The Left Should Move Right
It is tough to be fair to the left when they continue to spew a kumbaya mantra at every opportunity and at the same time claim to be willing to defend America. There is time for talk and there is time for action and sometimes you can do both. But constantly rebuking the Bush Administration and the military during active military operations serves no purpose but to offer aid and comfort to the enemy.
A typical example is presented below. Displaying the resume of someone opposing completion of the mission in Iraq does not validate the position. Rather than his call to stop the bleeding it should be to stop the bleeding hearts. If the left is so concerned about war and in such a panic to avoid it, they might consider explaining where they were before the war. Supporting policies and legislation within a politically correct atmosphere that pulls out the race card or homophobic label on any opposition to your “if it feels good, do it” philosophy is a great way to abandon the idea of discipline and responsibility for the freedom you claim to want and claim to defend. To abandon the effort of the very people defending your right to be stupid is an insult to those who have fought and/or been wounded or killed without complaint or expectation of reward. They deserve your unqualified support not your unrelenting objections.
Again, although the staff at MoreWhat.com struggles to remain independent rather than left or right, the left is making it increasingly difficult to not pull right when faced with the reality of their observed beliefs. Why won’t the left try showing some initiative we can respect and support?

I don\’t know how accommodation, appeasement, pleading, apologizing and all manner of groveling would ever convince a foe to re-evaluate their bloodthirsty position.
And Angel, Stanford speaks well of you. Let me introduce myself. My name is too long so most people just call me C.H.

You hit the nail on the head with being forced away from the left. I myself am not a dye in the wool Conservative, but have found that this Centrist/Moderate has no place to stand anywhere with the vast majority of the left. Sadly, there is no more room in America for those who have a social conscience, and a heart that does bleed for those suffering real calamity, and balance it with the common sense that national security being a priority, including a nation’s war policies, protects real hearts from bleeding and dying.
